I joined Kevin Parry’s Instagram Challenge where he choose an 'emoji' as a theme every month. The theme for February was a ‘Book 📕’. I wanted to animate more objects in new ways and decided to make a talking book. I wanted to not add more to the book like paste mouth shapes and eyes, but instead use the books elements in a way and animate it.
I went to a used book market in Cairo called 'Al Azbakeya' and got 14 copies of the same book, I used the technique of book folding to design 14 different folding patterns and create different mouth shapes and used ‘replacement’ stop motion technique to make the animation.
