Haemochromatosis 101

An introductory infographic to the essential basics of Genetic Haemochromatosis, one of the most common inherited genetic disorders among people of Celtic and Northern European descent. This began as a personal project in 2017 to quickly and succinctly explain the condition to friends, family, and medical professionals as required - after all, being diagnosed at 18, and having no opt-out feature, explaining what it is gets dull after the first 5 years.

In 2017 I made contact with the local awareness group, Haemochromatosis Australia, to ask if someone would be able to review the content to ensure it was current and correct. That year I shared it online among friends as part of Haemochromatosis Awareness week. The following year, Haemochromatosis Australia reached out to ask about sharing the graphic (and some others) for the awareness week campaign for 2018.
