Early morning by the shoreline Selatangar at Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland in the middle of winter. The sun comes up late and sets early. 

In January the sun crawls up to the horizon at 11:50 AM at Þingvellir. It is a beginning of a three hour golden hours by the lake and in a place that has many beautiful photo opportunities. There are also always surprises like this winter there is much less snow than usual although the lake is frozen. 

Capturing the sunrise at a black beach near Jökulsárlón packed with icebergs is a thrilling experience. The volume of icebergs is quite different from day to day and is dependent on high and low tide as well as the amount of icebergs at the lagoon.
