The Client
Koukounari Living Spaces is a small hospitality business located in Preveza, Epirus, consisting of 3 small apartments in the city centre. What makes this small business to stand out, is the fact that in a world full of standardized hospitality spaces and services, Koukounari chooses to be unique by using handcrafted furniture and by having every little decoration detail carefully chosen by its owner.

The Task
We were asked to create a brand identity for this small business, which was supposed to reflect its uniqueness. In an area full of hospitality services, we were asked to design a logo that would reflect minimalism and handcraft.

The Solution
Firstly we experimented with the origins of the word "koukounari" which is a pine cone. So, we started designing different aspects of a pine cone, keeping in mind that we need to show the fact that we're working in the hospitality area.
We wanted it to be handmade, less computerized, in the same way that the apartments are unique and mostly include handcrafted furniture.
