Mercury Raci. Creates Propulsion Systems to Power Boats

Russell “Rusty” Rahm launched Publishers Renewal Service Co. more than 20 years ago and continues to act as president and chief operating officer for the company. When away from work, Rusty Rahm participates in powerboat racing with his partner Jeff Harris and their boat, a 52-foot catamaran powered by twin 1350 engines designed by Mercury Racing.

In business since 1973, Mercury Racing develops and manufactures engines and propulsion systems for marine crafts. The company creates outboards, propellers, and sterndrives among other equipment engineered for high-performance boats. The manufacturer prides itself on its hand-crafted products, such as the 360 APX.

The Mercury Racing 360 APX outboard provides a high-performance option to competition boaters. The model specifically targets Formula 1 tunnel boats that race in the premier class of races, such as the UIM F1H2O World Championship held each year. It features a 4.6-liter V8 engine with four-valve architecture and other features that ensure it is competitive in its class.
