Haberdashery: Brand Identity

Haberdashery is an outfitter with a keen penchant to make premium materials and a classic gentleman aesthetic as affordable and unique as possible. The outfitter seeks to address rapid changes affecting the fashion industry, especially with the rise of fast fashion churning out new styles frequently, hence making bespoke outfits seem outdated and expensive.
The brief was to create a brand identity that is modern, simple and minimalist.
From the brand discovery and research, certain insights were gotten that informed the logo style to be explored. Keeping in line with the client’s goal to have an identity that is simple but significant, we created this identity.
The logo was crafted to resemble a stitching pattern – an aspect associated with tailoring. It is also a unique representation of the first letter of the brand name, the letter H which can be seen in 7 different ways in the icon. This little piece was influenced by the Abrahamic importance of the number 7 in perfect creation which is an ideal the brand embodies.
The brand's colors were chosen to keep a simple yet sophisticated look & feel.
Antarctic blue is the brand's default colors. It is the primary choice when implementing the logo on light surfaces and will be used on collaterals regarding brand communications such as envelopes, letterheads and business cards.
Myrtle green would be used majorly for packaging collaterals from Haberdashery. This includes the likes of boxes, wrapping papers, cloth tags et cetera.
In situations where neither Antarctic blue nor Myrtle green can be used, Velvet black and Bleached silk can come into play. This can be used on advertising collateral such as posters, billboards, and flyers.
Thank you.
