IPVC identity redesign
Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo
This project is my entry for redesigning Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo identity and all of its sub-brands. To describe an organization from Viana do Castelo, firstly we have to think about it's impact in the region, but also about tradition. With 6 different schools spread across the district, IPVC offers a wide variety of degrees and courses. Being a Politechnic Institute, IPCA prepares the students for the working world with an active learning, scientific and technical, and shares values trough teamwork and developing each individual as a workforce and as a human being.
Concept
6 schools - 1 brand
This logo is about bringing together the 6 different schools spread across the district into one identity. Inspired by the minucious work of "Filigrana", a tradition from Viana do Castelo, and it's ornaments from architectural well-known buildings, this concept is about showcasing the history and the future of Viana do Castelo to the world.
Brand Development
Iconography is key
To deliver the brand development across the 6 schools, I've opted for using icons as an identification of the school. For each school I've designed one icon that showcased their courses and degrees, but not loosing the overall identity of the main brand.
