OUR FIRST YEAR TOGETHER
If you know me a little, you now know that I love to make or customise my gifts from scratch.
I've known my current boyfriend for a year now, and what better gift than a book full of memories
of our first year together, shown in illustrations?
And that's exactly what I did!
The idea for this book came through an influencer on instagram (@blogicomics).
I liked the drawing style so much that I immediately knew what I wanted to do for our anniversary. I messaged the creator to approve my idea and got to work. I started this gift around April and our anniversary is in November, you do the math!
The first pages show how we met and how he asked me out. These pages show what we did on our first date and us going to a Halloween party together as Maleficent and Ron Weasley.
My boyfriend plays a soccer game every Sunday and after a month I came to watch it for the first time.
I didn't expect him to score in the first 10 minutes and had no idea how to tell him I missed the goal! I figured he could hear it better through the book than from me.
I have paid a lot of attention to the details for this book. Since I already knew what I wanted to make after a few months, I started taking pictures every time we did something fun.
I mainly did this as a reminder because I can't always remember what outfits we were wearing.
I added polaroids for a more visual effect. When giving this book I also gave printed polaroids, for the people who don't know us very well yet.
This way you get the feeling that you are there much more!
All in all, another one of my most beautiful creations. I am very proud that I have the skillsets to make something so creative.
