Dev Challenge Public Profile

Company name: Dev Challenge — The largest European Championship
for software developers.

Niche: App Design (UI). Pro
Country: Ukraine
Task:
→ The biggest pain was that the participants, judges, speakers, and mentors of the biggest European championship and hackathons for software developers didn't have any official confirmation of their participation → So we needed to create the design of the Public Profile for them, to confirm their participation and to give them an ability to share this Profile with their customers, colleagues, and friends.
→ We also had 3 questions to answer (we'll see them below). Thus, user research was urgently needed.

Pains and needs:
So, after user interviews we came to the conclusion, what pain points do our users have. Here come the answers to the questions:

1. How will championship participants use this public profile? What do they need?

→ official confirmation of participation
→ proof of competence
→ attracting new clients and employers
→ reaching a new professional level
→ the opportunity to supplement your resume,
→ an additional opportunity to prove your reliability, initiative and love for their profession

2. How can they fill it in? what information should be there?

→ Full name | Photo | Position | Contacts |
→ Skills | About me (Optional) | Location |
→ About the project (we_challenge)
→ Project | Nomination | Result | Year of the
→ Portfolio Links | social networks | website (optional)
→ Buttons: share profile/write
→ Ability to choose the language: ua, en, ru

3. How the visual design of the profile will be fit the existing DEV Challenge style?

The design of the profile should be universal, suitable for all projects: Dev_challenge, Hackathon, We_challenge, match the brand book in colors, fonts, and graphic elements.
It should be easy to adapt to any We_challenge project. Based on the provided files, I designed the main profile for the Game Hackathon Challenge, but below I will show how it will look in the colors Dev_Challenge and We_Challenge.
In the cover image of the profile, I placed branded icons and a pattern that perfectly superimpose on any background color, depending on the project. Pictograms may vary depending on achievement /role/...

My role:
→ User interviews
→ Research
→ UX/UI design implementation
Game Hackathon Challenge. Public Profile page:
Steps:
→ After research, I singled out the most important information for our users to show.
→ Made a list according to its importance.
→ Arranged blocks according to the importance.
→ Made UI solutions according to the event
→ Made responsive version for each and designed popups

Solution:

Short non-editable information about his competition results. Achievements: information about competitions and their results user, role, nomination, category, date. Feedback from judges (or organizers) about the past competitions and the participant's success. Solutions — Viewing Contest Entries

Editable user information.
The participant can write a few words about himself, edit text, delete it. This field is optional, but we will convince the user to fill it in.

→ show their contacts and message them directly
→ it allows users sharing their profile with HR's, colleagues, and friends on social media
→ proves their competence
→ attracts new clients and employers
→ helps to reach a new professional level
