Unpack

Responding to a brief of how might we employ digital tourism to engage young Victorian’s in Melbourne’s arts sector, creative team Caitlin Gmehling, Caitlin Iacobucci and Chloe Gmehling conducted research to develop and design the brand Unpack. 

Unpack is a box designed to bring Melbourne’s Arts to consumer’s homes. The research revealed that being 'in the moment' is a fundamental aspect of the tourist experience and so Unpack combines consumer goods with online events to not only support local businesses but to bring people together from the comfort of their own home. We found that experiencing tourism with other people enhances their overall experience and so these boxes are designed to be enjoyed with another person or on your own.The boxes include a curation of products and activities that were identified through our research process.
