I created crystalline scupltures around the theme of Zen, featuring iconic imagery such-as the bonsai and enso circle. For me crystals have an almost hypnotic quality you can get lost in their detail and enter a meditative state. i love how crystal interacts with light the refractions, caustics, dispersion are unique to this material and replicating this in 3D was very challenging. i encorporated the use of AI enhancing to add clarity and reduce noise in the renders, a technique i plan to use more in future works.
The series was sold on NiftyGateway with a very limited quantity, the bonsai piece was auctioned and received a bid of $2200, a personal record for one of my artworks. The total drop saw over $10,000 in sales.
