Black Forest in Fall

Black Forest in Fall
Feldsee

After a beautiful hike down a thicket of trees covered in a melange of colours ranging from green to red, we reached this gorgeous lake surrounded by trees on all sides.
And we were mesmerised by the interplay between the fall colours and their reflection on the water.
While ogling at the lake and the encircling trees, we stumbled upon a much needed bench to take in the surrounding landscape.
Also understood that Monet's Impressionism was not as far fetched as thought of at the time
Todtnau Waterfalls

Hiking up to Todtnau Waterfalls through a forest, alongside the Stuebenbachle
The sound of the stream rushing past the thicket of trees in the background to the regular rustling sound created by our footsteps on the dried leaves was music to our ears.
And after crossing a number of bridges over the river, we finally reached the waterfalls and boy, it was a sight to behold.
Triberg

This is how we were welcomed to the small town of Triberg after leaving the railway station.
Home to one of the most well known waterfalls in Germany, we found the rest of the town much more beautiful and worth visiting. We were not wrong, I suppose.
Walked up to a church from where the entire town of Triberg can be seen nestled in the forest
Oberkirch Wanderweg

The facade of the church was lit up in the rays of the setting sun - a very good sign for the hike on the next day.
The next day, in classic Black Forest style, there was a blanket of fog over the trees creating a moody feel over the start of the hike.
Hiked through the forest to reach the famous vineyards of the region and was left awestruck
Kept hiking to reach the Staufenberg Castle standing tall among the vineyards and looking over the surrounding towns
After resting our tired feet and happy souls at the castle, hiked down the hill to find some more vineyards and a number of cottages nestled in these vineyards.
Truly, one of the best vacations I had in my entire life and itching to go back again to explore more of this region which has inspired numerous stories and fairytales.
Thanks for Watching!
