The new school will concentrate on applied research partnerships with the state of Georgia’s fast-growing cybersecurity industry, addressing an important workforce necessity.

The school will draw on over 500 cybersecurity researchers spread throughout the university and over $180 million in annual research awards. It has three existing cybersecurity degree programs, and will mesh these programs together with other critical interdisciplinary programs and aims to meet a serious cybersecurity professional shortage in the United States and around the world.
