ConeChair:
The ConeChair is a lounge chair that provides comfortable and
relaxing seating. The Chair wraps around you and provides
cushioning, warmth and silence through passive noise cancellation.
The outer shell is made of steam bent, laminated sheets of
hardwood like Cherry or Oak.
Objective:
Turn the quote "form follows function“ from the American Architect
Louis Henry Sullivan around and design an object according
to "function follows form“.
Project goal:
Design a functional and useful product with a purpose.
The outcome is undefined.
A circle was cut out of an A4 paper and the left over paper twisted to create a cone shape.
After brainstorming about what this shape could embody, I decided to turn it into a chair.
