Living Dreams

1 a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep.
We all dream. But there is so much more to a dream that what is seen, and rather, what it means and why we dream it. Surreal & wacky dream imagery aside, I wanted to base this project more around the often neglected aspect of dreams: the interpretations & meaning of them.
Visually portraying the meanings of dreams can be tricky though, so it started with locations/people/objects in dreams that I could remember.
It later developed into this idea though that dreams act as a barrier against our waking life - we dreams things we wouldn't normally see/think/say... After all, dreams are supposedly our subconscious working through our repressed thoughts & feelings that we do not know about in our waking lives. This idea of 'barriers' developed even more: glass, mirrors, water - all reflective surfaces. I related this to how our subconscious and dreams also work as reflective thought & image patterns regarding our daily lives, despite the 'sugar-coating' of how we visualise dreams in a more enjoyable way.
