Curcuma is a conceptual restaurant and small market located in Portland, Oregon and run in conjunction with the National College of Natural Medicine. Its cuisine and interiors revolve around locally grown, foraged, and wild-crafted foods as well as medicinal herbs. The five basic elements of life are also a focus and present throughout the interior: wood, earth, salt, water, and fire (in orange). The elements are abstracted and featured in the logo, making the symbols versatile design elements that can be applied across a variety of platforms.
