Aim.

Designing a durable light equipment which has a compact size and portability and is suitable for traveling, camping and other outdoor activities.
Introduction.

Watching the sun go down when you are camping is one of the simple pleasures in life. However, as the sun dips, so does your ability to see. Struggling to see a metre in front of you is not only an issue for your safety but can be incredibly frustrating too.
Therefore, a piece of solar-powered light equipment to light up your campground from a design that focuses on compact size, easy to use, and economical to run attaches great importance during camping.
Teardown.

After teardown the solar light,  it is easy to understand that self-tapping screws, snap and interference fits are used to connect the parts together, making it easy to assemble by semi-skilled workers. The light housings incorporate a 2-part split moulding, bosses and screw attachments without any glued or ultrasonic welded.
Design for Manufacture.

All features on the housing have 0.5 degrees draft angle. Therefore, "Light Chaser" is viable manufacturing solutions demonstrating practical application of Polypropylene (PP) material and manufacturing requirements for injection moulding.
Main Function.

The ''Light Chaser" was designed for a quick and easy operating method. It can fit in the palm of user's hand; therefore, the user can push/pull the switch to turn on/off the light on just by his thumb.
Feature.

The design is a square little solar camping light
( 71 mm * 69 mm * 30 mm ). Weighing less than 100grams, the compact size makes it quite a convenient unit which can fit most of the pocket in the camping bag and the hole with the D carabiner can attach the light to the belt, gazebo or tent is a breeze.
The lights charge throughout the day, and then run off stored energy. This means lighting the night with no additional energy consumption.
