Black Lives Matter Chanting // Mural

This artwork was Pop Art inspired. The purpose for this work was to help create awareness of the black lives matter movement. Having people understand that many African Americans are suffering and losing their lives due to police brutality. Teaching people that systemic racism is real and how it effect minorities. I want my work to help spark conversations in many communities, work settings, or wherever. This is something that need to be done.

This here is a mural design concept that I created prior to the creation of the finished project. Here, was just the idea phase but didn't have a mural board assign to me ahead of time, so there was no pre-measurements done.
Learning when assigned the board that I would be creating my mural on, it was a bit off from the dimensions of my drawing I originally created. Wasn't too big of a problem, I actually just came up with the idea on the spot to do a second half (Top Half) as another person chanting "Black Lives Matter."
The message to this mural is that it's going to take more than just one community of people to create change. We're going to need all communities of all background to come together and help make change.
