A local ice cream shop goes digital.
1. Ice Cream made in Ehrenfeld
The "Eisdielerin" is an ice cream shop located in Ehrenfeld, Cologne. 
In the third semester at university we learned a lot of Webdesign and designing responsive websites for real clients. Our professor gave us the task to create a redesign of his favorite ice cream shop in Cologne.

2. Re-Organizing
The main task to redesign the website was to reorganize the information structure. In fact that this is a local ice cream store, it doesn't need much subsites to show the necessary information to their customer. So I decided to create three subsites:

1. Die Diele:
Especially when it comes to local shops the first impression is an essential for the customer to buy products. This subsite informs about the location itself with its seatings and possibilities to spend a wonderful afternoon in the sun. The authentic self-made images of the location are the key to convince the potential customer from the quality of a local shop like "Die Eisdielerin".

2. Dielekatessen
For me it was inevitable to keep the wording "Diele" as a recognition value. On that point the subsite Dielekatessen shows all the dishes, ice creams and other homemade products they do create by theirselves. Nowadays every customer wants to know what they could expect at the location in advance. This point makes it necessary to show the users what kind of dishes and food they have to expect when they visit the location. 

3. Kontakt
First of all the last subsite is a form to contact the team from "Die Eisdielerin" to leave feedback or arrange the next reservation for a meeting with family and friends. 
3. The woman in the center
Entrepreneurship today is synonymous with the personality of the entrepreneur. This way I created the website with the focus on the entrepreneur herself. When you go and buy something from "Die Eisdielerin", you have to feel the passion and love the product and the location was made with. So I also went with behind-the-scene images to create a certain sense of belonging. The customer is not just someone who buys the products that were made. At "Die Eisdielerin" you are a part of the community and are always welcome to come around for just a few minutes to talk.
This is a fictitious university project from 2018.
