Iceland is facing the danger of volcanic eruption at Reykjanes Peninsula, in the surroundings of village Grindavík. The area is breathtaking but dangerous. We in Iceland are facing up to 1.000 earthquakes per day in this area. The last eruption in this area was in the years 1211-1240 (Reykjaneseldar), during which the eruption formed a great lava flow over the whole area.
They think it’s happening again.
