My First UX/UI Project

Presented here is my first ever UX/UI project which I completed through Springboard's Introduction to UX/UI Design course in August of 2022. The four-week course takes you through an overview of what UX/UI is, what Design Thinking is and how it works (The user is your focus!), the importance of research, how to create personas, the collecting of industry examples, creating basic wireframes, and finally producing a style guide, and eventually, creating high-fidelity prototypes.
Of the three options to produce a final project, I chose to do a music app that focused on music from all over the planet in all its rich variety. I'd recently been intrigued by an influential music app called Radiooooo which did many of the things I'd want my app to do. Funny enough, I started thinking of what to call the app and what it might look like, which led me to name and create a logo in quick succession: INTL for international. This step helped me in my research, in thinking about my end-user personas, and in codifying an early overall look. One thing I discovered through the course is that I have a rich graphic/visual experience that I feel I can confidently apply to this field of UX/UI.

NOTE: In the prototype, the band, Super Mama Djombo, is actually not from Cote d'Ivoire, but rather from the West African country of Guinea Bissau. Apologies to the band. Go check them out...
