This was my A-level project, which revolved around designing a building/museum to house a replica of a Bronze Age boat found in my city, as well as a kids brochure to be given out during visits.
Inspiration for my final design - 'Breezing Up'. The shape of an up-turned boat on the waves was an idea I used in the shape of my museum.
Floor plan
Bronze entrance. Over time, this would turn green because of weathering - which could leave a nice effect.
The covering on the rood has a 'staged' effect to show how the structure fit beneath the canvas cover.
The brochure for kids used a very long, narrow strip of paper, which was curved round to form the sides of a round house. The circular part of the brochure was first used to games, and then cut and curved into the roof of the house.
The final Photoshop version of this functioned very well - but I must have deleted the file after completing the course. Damn!
