Leaving home and finding shelter somewhere far makes one realize that "home" is an unstable foundation based on inherited trauma, social conflicts, echoes of bombs, bullets, cries, and fear.
the instability of a country disables its children and youth from properly maturing. Self-development becomes secondary when a whole nation is in collapse.
The Bloom Manifesto is an acknowledgment of our wounded Arabic childhood, an apology to our inner child, and an opportunity to heal by bloom.

"This manifesto is not about "How to act in times of crisis or war". This manifesto is not about stopping war. This manifesto is a self-centered journey back into childhood and sheds light on the fundamental simplistic steps in childhood that were missed due to living in conflict areas and crisis times.
Throughout modern history, there was constant instability in the Middle East. Each generation experienced tough events during their childhood and inherited this trauma from their kids.
Today, and following the revolution, global pandemic, economic collapse and political instability in the country, the youth in Lebanon are facing hardship beyond their maturity and understanding. The situation has forced them to take on responsibilities, worries, and concerns beyond their abilities, and by doing so, the youth was never truly allowed to explore their childhood and the simplicity that comes with it.
This manifesto is for every 12-year-old today and every 12-year-old child trapped in a mature body; it's for my grandpa, my father, my mother, and myself. It's an inclusive invitation to a safe space, far from the Middle East conflict and political clashes, and economic collapse. This place stands for simplicity, self-care, and self-acknowledgment and fights against chaos and corruption pressuring us to adopt stress and pressure beyond our capacity. This manifesto is a reminder to love yourself first, to dance disregarding war, to laugh amidst a collapse, and to use colors and shapes overlooking the dusted city and the remains of explosions. It is a reminder to give space for expansion of yourself."
