Painting was created as the start of my Thesis work for my BFA at SVA NYC, Works that include various thoughts and diary entries written over weeks of return and re-evaluation of cathartic writing. Painting these works allow me to express whatever feelings and ideas may come to mind that I would like the piece to hold underneath. The writing may at times have direct correlation to the image above, although these thoughts are directly reflected during the second phase of the work which is to be simply expressionistic and another form of cathartic expression. The image used in reference was taken in my home town of Aurora, Illinois.
