I was asked to come up with a unique and eye-catching drink label. The concept was a god/goddess based drink so I did a little research and found someone I wanted to use. Iduna is the Norse goddess of spring and the protector of the golden apples. Moral of the story is that the golden apples gave the gods eternal life and youth. I decided to create an apple tea based off of Iduna and the golden apples.
Let's get designing! So I came up with some spring themed flowers but these are also apple tree flowers. The pink colors represent them as well. I wanted to get a peaceful elegant feeling with this design.
Here I am in the process of choosing my desired colors and choosing what will fit the best with my Nordic/spring/apple appeal.
I successfully created by tea label and I chose to have a Nordic style transparency through the pink gradient background. This ties in the theme to the background of Iduna's role in Nordic history. The flowers add a spring appeal since that is what Iduna is considered the goddess of. I found a Norse font to continue the theme. I decided that her hair and apple will be golden and a transparent label to show the tea can underneath.
You can see here what I meant by a transparent label. Iduna's hair and the apple both have a nice metallic and bold color which I think creates a unique factor to my design. This is also my slogan.
