Plastic & Beach inspired sketches & prints.

These pages below are all of my pattern development and experimenting with techniques and materials. after looking at the colours I saw frequently through my primary and secondary research and then did some sketches and drawings. I wasn't able to go to the beach as much as I would of hoped but I used images I already had and the internet to inspire me.
These are a few monoprints I did to achieve a different effect of my sketches and designs and also by mono printing it adds a texture and detail to the drawing as it is pressed against the inked surface.
On the other hand this page is a mix of monoprints which I tried with blue and green printing ink along with some prints using a inked perspex and some plastic objects such as netting and rubber bands to then layer with paper and feed through the printing press, which left really detailed impressions, this also left the design on the surface which then allowed me to layer more stuff making it more authentic.
Along with the other printing methods, I tried making and printing some collagraphs which was an interesting technique as you can layering materials and make setting them with glue then created a template to apply ink too and use to print and create a repeat pattern if wanted on a larger scale.
