Identity System, Exhibition Design
This work was produced in 2019.
Mutation introduces two radical fashion designers, Alexander McQueen and Iris Van Herpen, who are known for using extraordinary concepts, materials and techniques in their body of works.
The identity of the exhibition was inspired by organic materials and uniqueness of their design approaches. It was created by using Processing program to emphasize the fluidity and dynamism.
Mutation Installation component would live near the entrance of the mutation exhibition as a title wall. Generative logo was brought into real-life by laser cutting letters and hand-vacuuming onto the plastic sheet to capture the craftmenship of these designers. Especially, this installation was inspired from Iris Van Herpen’s “Crystallization” dress.
