This is my new resume.

I really wanted to create a clean layout; Eye-friendly and easy to navigate.

First, I focused on prioritizing and separating different sections:

Name - after all it's all about me :)

Personal statement - that's how I advertise myself

Contact information - Same background and highlight style to create a strong bond with section 1.

Next, I chose colors:

Black text on white background give it a bit of formal appearance.

Blue and yellow makes my favorite contrast.

The very red shape in the bottom-right corner guarantee that contact section will be seen.

Finally I played with shadows to enhance separations and margins.

The cover letter is not an inseparable part of the resume. 
Instead, It is more traditional document with few elements of reference.
