I. Brief
1. Purpose of the project.
The application is intended for yacht owners and sailors supporting charter and organization of sea cruises.

2. Target group.
The application is to enable the handling of cruises organized on sea basins in Europe, i.e. the Baltic, Mediterranean, North Sea, etc. It is intended for three main groups:
a) owners of sailing and motor yachts who want to rent their units to sailors for the purposes of cruises in the aforementioned waters,
b) sailors chartering vessels from shipowners for the purpose of organizing a cruise (commercial or non-commercial),
c) sailors seeking free places on organized cruises (also for those taking place - so-called yacht hitchhiking).
3. Competition
There are several applications of this type on the market, e.g. Click & Boat, Boatsetter, Yachtlife. However, this niche is not yet fully utilized.
4. Content of the project.
The application should enable users to register units available for rent in a given area as well as adding cruises by the organizers. The premise is also the possibility of announcing organized cruises to search for crew members.
The user looking for a yacht for rent should be able to filter the results due to the water / city from which he would like to start the cruise, as well as the period in which it is to take place. Additionally, it can select units in terms of technical data: type of propulsion (sailing, motor) length, year of manufacture, number of berths.
The application is to facilitate communication between the owner and the tenant when planning reservations, signing the contract, duration of the cruise, etc. It is to enable shipowners to manage multiple units at one time.
Users should be able to receive notifications regarding updates related to a given unit, cruise, participants. An convenience will be the option of observing specific events, units (e.g. releasing reservations, free seats on the flight). It is also optional to display last minute offers.
5. Inspirations.
My own experience in organizing cruises allows me to conclude that there are no such applications on the market that would facilitate communication in one place between yacht seekers and shipowners, especially when it comes to cruises organized quickly or when unexpected events occur (e.g. part of the crew in last days gives up, the owner withdraws for technical reasons).
