So, this is how it looks with all the layers in After Effects.
So, first of all, I made a basic shape of the silhouette of Buddha in 3Ds max. and imported that to After Effects; in Trap Code Particular. I filled the particles in to the volume of the imported object and let Trapcode worry about everything. I added a second particle generator and added to the bottom of the object to make the effect of particles falling off the bottom of the object... give it a little floating vibe. Then, I added the third particle generator with wind turbulence to make leaves falling off effect.
