Introducing Miss Willow the Whippet! Beautiful Willow is my son's best friend and a cherished family member, so I decided to paint a watercolour of her for his 11th birthday. 

The project was a labour of love! Its creation in 2015 coincided with the most difficult period in my life - the end of my marriage. Emotionally it took every ounce of creativity for me to complete this painting, but it's my favourite creative achievement.

Life drawings of Miss Willow were arranged in an overlapping formation by using numerous sketches of her from different angles - my intention to capture her personality.
