Okami
This is one of the first characters that i ever designed, and one of my favorites.

I wanted her to be quirky and to be agile but have a mysterious vibe, so i made her wear bandages with casual sporty outfits.
As i started using digital art platforms (after i got my Wacom) i thought of changing the style of her for a short while (but changed my mind later).
this is the style i stuck with for a pretty long time, i used Adobe Illustrator and tried to stay away from outlines and use clean sharp edges instead, her face kept changing over time so i used to use her without any features on her face.
After a while, and after multiple attempts to include Okami in various projects of mine, i decided that the original style i had for her wasn't really how i imagined her, it didn't show what i wanted it to, i wanted her shape and overall look to show some personality traits, but it ended up not showing some important ones, so i decided to draw her again in my current style of drawing.
I like using a lot of curves in my drawings, especially characters, whether they're male or female, that's why i often emphasise on them and try to use them when i create the little details.
A palette of dark and deep colors is usually what i go for but i decided to add pink to this one, her personality is fiery and fierce hence the hair, but she's also very loving and caring.
I used Adobe Photoshop with a bunch of brushes to achieve this result.

I still plan to use her in future projects and hopefully i'll keep improving her until she reaches exactly how i imagine her to be!
