Lettering | Footage shooting | Video editing

I decided to produce a video showing the process of creating a lettering composition. The length should be 3 minutes and the objective was to explore the entire process of video production: from planning and story boarding, shooting footage and editing in Adobe Premiere. 

Creating a 3 minutes video and a lettering composition which viewer would be entertained from the beginning to the very end is very challenging, especially in this modern times where people consume information and new content all the time in very high frequency. 

I used many different techniques and tools to shoot different stages of the lettering process in various angles to make the video not monotonous. Also I increased the speed of the video a lot, but at the same time tried to show as much as possible the important and useful details to create a successful lettering piece.    

I added some effects and also the voice over explaining each stage of the process.

For the lettering composition, I decided to play with flourishes and combine with a photo, as they are interspersed. 

After deciding the final composition, I used Illustrator and pen tool to vectorize it.
