Social Issue: Trafficking
In this project I started with an issue that is dear to my heart. This issue of trafficking is happening in our own backyards. This is a billion dollar business with innocent lives being affected everyday.
I started with an idea then proceeded to ask my sister to be my muse for this project. I took the photo outside and in color. I decided to change the photo to black and white, making the tape over her mouth red. The color red draws attention and also brings the photo to life. I also brightened the photo a little.
The ending look of this social issue ad had a lot to do with spacing and typography. When looking for the perfect font I knew I wanted something that resembled paint. I went in the direction of putting the title trafficking big across the photo in red would draw attention to it right away. I choose a string font for the wording and used the color red in the stop trafficking sign. Once I had the concept it took several tries of the wording being moved all around to get to the end result which I am super proud of.
