Middle Grade spot illustration has been fascinating me of late.  I find the black and white easier to work in (in some ways) and of course it's a lot faster.  These pieces were made with the intent of finding a home in some sort of horror novel or gothic tale.  Creating more variations on these (to the tune of 20 or so) would mean additional objects like skulls or broken creepy toys or knives, perhaps broken jars or leaking cauldrons or dusty dish settings.  Could be fun!
