The students at Colchester Institute are not using moodle enough to view the useful content that tutors put up on the website for them to use. One way I believe to get students to interact and use moodle to its full advantage is to make it more readily available wherever they are and also add in some features that can enhance the function of what moodle does. To address this, I decided to create a google android app that incorporates the aspects of the website a student would need and want the most, and compile it into something that is functional and easy to navigate. The app includes briefs, module guides and the news forum, but also a custom profile page, user made events that can be shared with other students on the course and a grades option that lets the user input their own marks and the app will calculate the average and overall grade for that year.
