Showcasing some of the illustrations I've created for the hybrid animated video essay "Anthoropoce -The great party" produced in commons @just wondering... a creative theoretical research body for which I'm most proud and humbled to be part of alongside my lovely partners Theo, M, and some unreplaceable collaborators on voiceover (Oana Puscatu) and sound designs (BAB).

This video raises questions regarding human actions as the newly accepted geological force that shapes the planet, but also the triggering point for the climate change crisis we're dealing with and the 6th mass extinction ongoing. Although at first human imprint seems so striking obvious in the layers of ground, we argue that not all humankind is responsible for this burden, but the structures in power, making the case for new names of this geological frame, like Capitalocene, where the consumerist point of view objectifies the land, the non-humans, and the people, for-profit under an unrealistic view of infinite resources.

I hope you'll enjoy the illustrations that I've drawn to evoke a surrealist scenario of the non-human world, in a palette that reflects also the digitized era we're living on.
