"Meine Mutter, das Alter und ich"
Katja Jungwirth trusted me with building her website and creating illustrations for over 50 short stories she wrote about taking care of her chronically ill mother. For over a year I illustrated every weekly blog entry with drawings of rabbits and other animals. In the stories she describes the joys and difficulties she experiences, as a way of coping with the ups and downs of her situation.
When the publisher Kremayr & Scheriau showed interest in the narrative they fortunately liked my illustrations as well. They decided to turn the stories into a book and place my drawings in the beginning of each story. They even put my little walker on the cover.
