For this assignment, we were to use type and illustration to visually depict a fact about a president or first lady. When I found this fact about Mary Lincoln, I was excited to make an image involving a ouija board. Ouija boards already incorporate type, so I knew it would be a good idea to play off of. I was also excited about creating all of the beautiful engravings that can be found on a ouija board.
