The main focus in this project has been to challenge and explore the borders between art and design. My wish was to create a storytelling-furniture, that didn't tell one specific story, but would lead the user/viewer to make up his/her own story. The furniture should activate more than just the visual sense, and explore the way we think a chair. Throughout the designproces the work has evolved around the meeting of contrasts – the living/dead, sterile/organic and right/wrong
The chairs final shape has been dictated by many material experiments. The chair is made out of latex coated fabric with tarmac imprint, flexibel polyurethane, and acrylic sheet.
