Oil Pastels and Acrylic
I took this style of illustration from all the old school graffiti mural videos on youtube
Roughly put down each letter just using oil pastels. Really grind the pastel into the paper, it'll all blend together with some other shades before I'm ready to use paint.
I chose a dark background colour for the negative space because the pet I'm designing this for is nocturnal. Smother the larger negative spaces with a wide brush and eventually use my 1/8'' dagger striper to get a sharply defined edge but only after adding some beige underlighting.
Add finishing white highlighting.
