Activism for Introverts

In my initial research I spoke with people who wanted to be more politically active than they currently were. Many people talked about experiencing social fatigue that kept them from joining traditional calls to activism. Marches were overwhelming, and political meetings were too political. They were introverted, and activism was made for extroverts.
In my research I found that introverts do best at one-one interactions and making personal connections. They also care about finding effective form of activism.

"Jessa” described herself as very introverted. She said she was nervous for a long time to phone bank and canvas but after the 2016 election she felt driven to practice and learn how. Now she is an active leader member of two local canvassing groups, and work regularly with Planned Parenthood as well.

“James” said he gets very uncomfortable in crowds and can’t go to marches even though he wants to. Instead, he now calls his representatives once a day on a range of issues he cares about. He says it’s awkward but worth it to feel like he is doing something.
I tested whether introverts would be interested in this product idea through Facebook ads and messaging on instagram, gathering Meyers Briggs psychometrics data to confirm that these individuals were in fact more introverted than extroverted. I got enough interest to be promising.
I validated features and interactions with multiple iterations of user testing, including paper prototypes and clickable low fidelity wireframes.
I worked through wireframes to identify the full functionality and features, as well as the complete user flow to accomplish a complete MVP product.
I used Sketch to create a design system framework so I could update components across many screens as I iterated UI patterns.
My final design deliverable was an interactive Invision prototype to capture the complete minimum viable product.
