Printing processes is a book that I designed that focuses on the history of printing. For this project, I had to research the printers and then design a book for my research. I chose to do four printers because I felt that they were the most important to talk about. For the cover of the design, I wanted to show all four of the printing processes. Linotype is shown through the author’s name with the blocks around the name. Phototypesetting shows the disk with the title and subtitle. Offset lithography and digital printing is shown through the dot pattern emphasizing the layers of color.

I chose to categorize each of the printing processes through their own colors to differentiate the printers. I wanted the inside to be colorful to match the cover of the book. This overall project was a lot of fun to design because I ended up using a lot of color.
