OZÉ - My Take On Entrepreneurial Inclusion [ONGOING]

OZÉ -  My Take On Entrepreneurial Inclusion [ONGOING]
OZÉ is a Data driven technological accelerator that leverages on Data Science to provide key insights to business owners in Africa. They are focused on driving sustainable growth in these businesses while creating an ecosystem of coaches and entrepreneurs.

This Portfolio is my take on what the design of their app, the OZE Business Coach, could look like ( if it was designed by me in another parallel dimension, where I with OZE ).

Their website can be found here and their Android mobile App can be found here.

The font used here is Heebo, a font I deduced to be OZE's official font. The colour's are also inspired by OZE's close relationship with Blue and White.

Alright Lets Get into it.
Designs began with recreating a splash screen. The lighter hues were actually designed after the first draft. The Dark of the other tones had no place in the OZE brand. It seemed alien, but because of the allure of dark designs (#DarkModeOnPhones), I thought I'd leave it in for juxtaposition

Light Splash Screen 4
Again this was the first splash screen design made. The deep blue might look okay but a core of OZE's brand is the vibrancy of its blues. It was for this reason that this design had to be pivoted.

Light "Get Started Page" This page leads to the ON-BOARDING SECTION.
A Dark take on Getting Started.
The result of these 2 splash screen resulted in different prototypes. I will to keep experimenting with curves and various hues of blue. I don't think enough justice has been done just yet.
9. A full Prototype of "my" OZE app from splash screen to Login Page. I went with a materialistic design for the forms. I am still unsatisfied with the info / on-boarding page and will continue to iterate on both light and dark versions to grind out some better designs.
10. This is what the app could look like if I went with the darker hues of blue. All this blue reminds me of Picasso's Blue Room.
11. The Login Page was designed with Minimalism in mind. It used material design to keep the interface smooth and clear. I think a dark login mode would be nice.
On-boarding Pages
What I call the on-boarding pages, are a series of pages designed to elicit information about OZE in the cleanest and most practical way possible. I was working with limited resources (Thank you Internet) and what I had come to understand OZE to mean. All in all this proved to be the second most challenging part of the design for me. (Pssst, the first was the UX of forms)
The first on-boarding page features an OZE entrepreneur, Senam Adjei, a serial entrepreneur whose business has seen significant growth with OZE. Growth therefore was the theme of this first page.
Of course, the page was also rendered in a darker shade
OZE offers the convenience of an accounting firm in your pocket. This mobility can be key in meetings or over a hot Waakye lunch. Therefore, the theme of this page was mobility.
"Hello Darkness My Old Friend"
OZE can track everything from Trade receivables to Money Owed by customers. The application is designed to be robust and flexible enough to fit the many tooled pockets of entrepreneurs. The theme for this page therefore was Tracking.
"Insert Dark Mode Pun Here"
Prototyping the Sign Up Process to Show the typical flow of the design.
LOGIN SCREEN
As earlier stated the login screen was designed with simplicity and Android's material design in mind.
Login Screen #3
Login Screen #4
SIGNING UP
As earlier stated, the Sign Up process was the most time consuming aspect. This is because displacing information in a presentable and easy to understand manner typically requires trying different things. These are the first drafts that were settled on.
Sign up page #1, inspired by material design.
Sign up page #2
Sign up page #3, The process of verifying the entered phone number. I was at loggerheads on how the verification would work simultaneously with email and phone. Regardless, I felt phone would be best given it's wide reach and lack of barriers to access.
Sign up page #4, Typing in the OTP
Sign up page #5. This page exists as a result of clicking on the wrong number entry on the OTP page. It would allow the user to correct the entered data and retry the OTP process
Sign up page #6, The success page after completing the entire process, complete with OZÉ's mascot.
[The project is still Ongoing]
