This poster showcases the vibrant neon that permeates Austin, TX and, more specifically, the Austin music scene. Created using a combination of appropriated and in-camera photography, a night streetscape featuring Austin's neon was projected on a laptop screen in a darkened room. By adding motion as photos of the projected imagery were captured, further excitement was added to evoke Austin's nightlife. The same method was applied to the poster's type, which was set in Eurostile. The piece was printed on 7.6 mil large format glossy photopaper to evoke the shimmering, often glaring, quality of neon.
