BLVCKSIGHT is a photography project in which various photographs (taken over the course of 2018-2021) have been compiled and curated. My subject of interest in this series is minimalism and architecture, therefore I sought to portray the narrative behind interesting buildings and human-made objects from Colombian cities such as Santa Marta, Cartagena and Bogotá and also Korean cities such as Seoul and Jeju Island, taking into account the composition and perspective of each image and the mini universes/stories that can be created once they're put all together.
BLVCKSIGHT explores the architecture and dynamics of space through the use of elements such as perspective, contrast between shadow and light and layers of textures that create new forms and compositions of the space. Within the images you can find frontal photos, textures, the urban life and traditional scenes that make up a visual narrative of the country from the author's point of view. Finally, the work focuses on small and large details, geometric shadows and close-ups that may appear to be abstract when viewed separately, but when put together in a sequence, it creates a new visual universe, experience and feeling about the spaces captured.
