Asam Boi Vietnamese Drink

In the busy streets of night markets or at local restaurants in Vietnam, there are many delicious local drinks available. One of them is "Asam boi" means preserved plum in Malay not to be confused with "asam", which usually refers to tamarind. The kind used in the beverage is typically coated with powdered salt and sugar, which gives the dried fruit a dull, light gray color.
