Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder #66 Yasiel Puig aka The Cuban Missile
Step 1: Began with a quick brainstorm of words and phrases and then explored them visually with different shapes and type.
Step 2: I decided to focus on his nickname of the Cuban Missile and explored several variations of the home plate, missile, and typography.
Step 3: I found that balancing the home plate and missile worked best to draw attention to his initials so I finessed it by adding his number (which also helped define the tip of the plate). Missile ready for deployment.
Step 4: Worked on the treatment of his name and nickname.
Final Step: Added some texture and dust particles.
