Another project for my Design 2 class where we had to make something regarding a social issue. This was... let's just say when it comes to politics, there is a lot of things I'd like to change, so this one was difficult to decide what to do.
As a centrist myself, I both agree and disagree with things regarding many social issues, and I wanted to do something that I felt strongly about.

Then it hit me. Society is currently split into two political factions that go after each others' throats daily rather than working together to fix the real problems with society.

So, you have this picture, with the blues representing the democratic/liberal parties and the reds representing the republican/conservative parties. And in the middle is a single bridge (or whatever you want to describe it as) that the two have in common that is slowly straining due to opposing viewpoints that neither side wants challenged.

I had to do a lot of searching to find an organization that actually is doing something to help bring the two parties together, and while there is plenty of them, the one that seems to have the most pull is the "Represent Us" organization, and they make a lot of good points about corruption in government that actually helps corporate lobbyists more than the people.

Anyway, it was a topic that I felt strongly about, and as Lincoln said, "a house divided against itself cannot stand."
