Cellophane Hair - don't look, stare.
This design was created as part of a character study I am currently doing. My aim is to create characters with unique aesthetics whilst working on my skills with digital paintings. This will be added to various other character profiles that will be used in future animations.
Final Image:
This portrait is a digital painting created on Adobe Photoshop. It was really fun to create. My aim for this design was to give their hair a 'glowing', 'cellophane' affect. To contrast with their bright luminescent hair I added a mustard coloured sweater. I think the most fun part was painting the nose - drawing and painting facial features is something that I thoroughly enjoy.
Sketch:
This is a rough sketch on paper that I had created. For the final image, I had altered some of the proportions of the face to suit my desired look. I was really excited to create the final piece for this concept because I don't often do portraits with such high cheek bones. In the end, I really like the effect it has on the overall design.
